Open VLC and go to Media then go to Open Network Streaming (ctrl+N).
Now copy any video link from web browser and paste here, click play, you will see the video starts streaming now go to Tools then Codec Information, copy Location field and past it into any web browser. You will see the video starts playing now Right Click and Save Video As:
